Add MockFlow as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, sign in, and ask for flowcharts, mind maps, timelines and diagrams that open as editable MockFlow boards.

Updated 9 Oct 20262 min read

Claude and ChatGPT can create MockFlow boards through the MockFlow hosted MCP server. Add MockFlow once as a connector in the app's settings, and from then on you can ask for a flowchart, a mind map, a timeline or another visual in any chat. The AI creates it on a MockFlow board and gives you a link to open, edit and share it. For what MCP is, see What is the MockFlow MCP server.

The address of the MockFlow MCP server is:

https://app.mockflow.com/ideaboard/mcp

Add MockFlow to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors.

  2. Choose to add a custom connector.

  3. Name it MockFlow and paste the MockFlow MCP address above as the server URL, then add it.

  4. Connect it and sign in to MockFlow when asked, then allow access.

MockFlow then appears among your connectors, and you can turn it on for a chat from the chat's tools.

Add MockFlow to ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Connectors.

  2. Add a connector, name it MockFlow and paste the MockFlow MCP address above.

  3. Sign in to MockFlow when asked, then allow access.

In ChatGPT, a preview of the board appears in the chat next to the link.

The exact names of these settings can change as Claude and ChatGPT update their apps. Adding custom connectors may also depend on your Claude or ChatGPT plan, and on your workspace if your organization manages it.

Ask for a visual

Describe what you need and mention MockFlow, so the AI uses it rather than answering in text. For example:

  • "Using MockFlow, create a timeline for planning our school science fair, from January to April"

  • "Make a MockFlow mind map of ideas for our spring marketing campaign"

  • "Draw the onboarding process for new employees as a flowchart in MockFlow"

  • "Create a kanban board in MockFlow for launching the new website"

  • "Turn this meeting summary into a MockFlow customer journey map"

The AI replies with a link to the board. Open it to edit the board in MockFlow, add to it with Mida and share it with your team.

Signed in or not

When you sign in to MockFlow while adding the connector, each board the AI creates is saved to your MockFlow account, and the limits of your plan apply.

If the connector is used without signing in, the AI creates demo boards that are kept for 24 hours. To keep one, open it and save it to your MockFlow account before the time runs out. Without signing in, the Basic limits apply and the AI cannot export a board as an image.

Remove MockFlow from Claude or ChatGPT

To stop using MockFlow, open Settings, go to Connectors in Claude or ChatGPT and remove the MockFlow connector. The boards that were created stay in your MockFlow account.

MockFlow MCP is available on every plan, with a limit on how many items the AI can create in a period of time. Plus and Max have higher limits. See MockFlow MCP limits on each plan.
