The **Floor Plan** frame is for sketching rooms and layouts on your MockFlow board: a new office, a classroom arrangement, a café counter, a booth at a trade show or a flat before moving in. It sits next to the moodboards, budgets and checklists that go with the space.

## Generate a floor plan with AI

1. Click **Frames** in the toolbar at the bottom of the board and choose **Floor Plan**.
2. With the floor plan selected, click the AI button on the left of its toolbar and choose **Generate new**.
3. Describe the space, for example "A small startup office with a meeting room, six desks, a kitchen and a quiet booth", and click **Generate**.

To start from an existing layout, choose **Recreate from image** and attach a photo or scan of a floor plan, such as a hand sketch or an estate agent's plan. **Modify with AI** changes the plan with a prompt, for example "add a second bathroom", and **Convert to** turns it into another kind of item.

## Draw rooms, doors and windows

Click **Edit floor plan** in the toolbar to open the drawing tools:

| Tool | How to use it |
| --- | --- |
| **Room** (R) | Drag a rectangle to draw a room |
| **Door** (D) and **Window** (W) | Click on a wall to place one |
| **Label** (T) | Click to place a name or note |
| **Measure** (M) | Drag between two points to show a distance |
| **Furniture palette** (L) | Drag or click furniture, such as desks, sofas, beds and kitchen units, into the plan |

**Select / pan** (V) moves rooms and furniture; hold Shift to select several.

## Change how the plan looks

- **Change Theme:** **Soft**, **Blueprint** or **Marker** styles.
- **Show room dimensions** and **Units:** show the size of each room in the units you use.
- **Text size** and **Fit plan to frame:** make labels easier to read, and fit the whole plan in view.

## Render a floor plan with AI

Choose **Render with AI** from the AI menu to turn the plan into a picture. Pick a style, such as **Realistic top-down**, **Photoreal dollhouse view**, **Isometric 3D**, **Angled cutaway render** or **Illustrated**, then click **Render**. Choose **Insert on board** to place the picture next to the plan.

## Export a floor plan

**Export (Image, SVG, JSON)** in the toolbar downloads the plan as an image, an SVG or a JSON file.

> **Plan** The Floor Plan frame is available on every plan. Generating, recreating and rendering with AI use AI credits. See [MockFlow pricing](https://mockflow.com/pricing/).
