# Ask Mida about your board

> Ask Mida questions about what is on your board, such as who owns a task or what was decided, and get answers drawn from your own content.

A busy board holds a lot: plans, tables, wireframes, diagrams and notes from many people. Instead of searching it by eye, ask Mida. It scans the board, reads the items that matter and answers from your own content, for example who owns which tasks, what the team decided or which questions are still open.

## Ask a question

1. Open Mida with the **AI** chip in the bottom toolbar or Ctrl (⌘ on Mac) + J.
2. Ask your question, for example _Which tasks does Emma own, and when are they due?_, and press Enter.

Mida shows what it is doing as it works, such as scanning the board and reading a table, then answers. When it refers to items on the board, it can link to them so you can jump straight there.

You can also ask from the zoom menu: point to the zoom level at the top right of the board and type in **Search or ask about this board**.

## Questions that work well

- _What did we decide about the pricing page?_
- _Which tasks are due this week, and who owns them?_
- _What questions are still open?_
- _Summarize this board for someone who missed the review_
- _Where is the onboarding checklist?_

Once you have the answer, you can ask Mida to act on it, for example _Make a kanban of these tasks by owner_. See [Change selected items with Mida](/docs/change-selected-items-with-mida).
