# Add apps and games with artifacts

> Add small apps and games that everyone on the board uses together, such as dot voting, quizzes, planning poker and timers: pick one from the Artifact Library or describe your own.

An **artifact** is a small working app or game on your MockFlow board. Everyone on the board uses the same artifact at the same time, and its votes, turns and scores stay in sync for all. Use one for dot voting in a workshop, a quiz at the end of a lesson, planning poker in a sprint, a speaker queue in a stand-up or a game for a team break.

## Add an app from the Artifact Library

1. Click **Add anything** (the plus button) in the toolbar at the bottom of the board and switch to **Artifacts**.
2. Browse the categories, such as Games, Voting & Polls, Planning, Timers, Quizzes and Utilities, or the apps your team published under **Your team**.
3. Click an app to place it on the board.

Each copy keeps its own data, so a vote on one board never changes another. Adding an app from the library does not use AI credits.

## Build your own artifact with AI

1. In **Add anything**, choose **Create your own artifact**.
2. Describe the app, for example "Dot voting for what we build next, three dots each", and click **Generate**. **Examples** offers more ideas.
3. To change it, choose **Modify with AI** from its AI menu and describe the change, such as "Add a reset button". **Revert last AI change** undoes the last change.

**Update content with AI** changes only the content, such as the questions in a quiz, without changing how the app works. For bigger apps, you can also build artifacts with your own AI agent through [MockFlow Bridge](/docs/what-is-mockflow-bridge).

## Use and manage an artifact

Click **Interact with Component** (the hand button), or switch the board to Play mode, to use the app. **Enter Focus Mode** opens it large, which suits quizzes and games.

- **Reset shared data** clears the votes, turns or scores and keeps the app.
- **Reset to the recommended size** and **Auto height** fit the artifact to its content.
- **Publish to Artifact Library** shares the app with your team, with a name, a description and a category. **Fill with AI** can write the description for you.
